Classes & Lessons

Here at Catching Dreams we teach what is referred to as "Balance Seat" riding. It is taught in both English and Western, and is just what it says - the balance in your seat is the basis of one's riding. This style has produced not only top rated english riders, but excellence in assorted Western disciplines as well.

Catching Dreams' first priority is safety, then fun. Lessons are devised based upon the level of each individual's own riding ability and then on style. Our top priority is making sure each student is placed in a class appropriate for his or her skill level. We pride ourselves on careful choices for the new student.

Ms. Jones' program is devised on a written and applied plan which is called the "Step Ladder Program". It teaches our students everything from beginning to end, from grooming and tacking up all the way to innoculations and anatomy. We cover all the riding basics from walking bareback to galloping across obstacle courses. Backyard horse owners will learn to be as comfortable in a top facility as they are in their own pastures, learn what to do in an emergency, learn about the equine diet and more. This successful program will also allow the horse owner to be proud of a well mannered healthy horse, and it won't break the bank!

Lessons are broken up into private, semi-private and group divisions.

• Private Lessons are for one person for one hour per lesson.
• Semi-Private Lessons are for 2 people for 1 1/2 hours per lesson.
• Group Lessons are for 3 or more people for 2 hours per lesson.
  
• All lessons include catching your horse, grooming, tacking, riding, untacking, and daily care for the horse.
